What is HCC Batch RAF Scoring?

CMS-HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) risk adjustment calculates a Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) score for each Medicare Advantage member based on their age, gender, and diagnosed conditions. The RAF score is multiplied by the base payment rate to determine how much CMS pays the health plan for that member.

Batch RAF scoring is essential for health plans and risk adjustment vendors who need to calculate population-level RAF scores to project revenue, identify care gaps, and prioritize coding improvement efforts across thousands of members.
