ISO-11179 Definition

The unique alphanumeric key assigned to an individual adverse reaction or allergy record within an EHR or clinical data system. Used as the primary reference key for allergy records in systems such as Epic and Cerner, and in HL7 FHIR AllergyIntolerance resources to enable accurate cross-system data linking and deduplication.
